Westfield State Honors Students Get Hands Dirty Volunteering at Local Garden

Westfield State Honors students started the 2025 - 26 academic year giving back to the local community with a day of service at Grandmothers' Garden in Westfield and on the Columbia Greenway Rail Trail. Students got their hands dirty and enjoyed the fresh air and sunshine at the two popular locations as they removed weeds and planted native plants as part of fall maintenance efforts. The hard work brought the group together to meet new friends and learn about opportunities to get involved with the local community and find new locations to study and have fun.
