Alice Perry

Professor Alice Elizabeth Perry spent twenty years as a state prosecutor litigating major felony cases including homicide, arson, drug trafficking, sexual assault, and gang-related gun crimes. She has worked with the FBI, DEA, ATF, the Massachusetts State police and local departments in Massachusetts. She was an instructor at the Massachusetts State Police academy and an invited lecturer at numerous law enforcement venues. 

Dr. Perry was the 2015 program chair for the Comparative/International Courts section of the Academy of Criminal Justice Society, of which she is a member.  She is a member of the U.S. Supreme Court bar, a member of the American Society of Criminology, a Criminal Justice advisory board member for a local community college, and was the St. Thomas More 2002 Lawyer of the Year. She was an invited speaker to the Women in Criminal Justice annual event and presented on Leadership and Mentoring. 

Dr. Perry’s teaching focuses on American and comparative jurisprudence, with a pedagogical emphasis on the technological and forensic applications law enforcement personnel must master. Her research interests include policing and leadership issues from a national and global perspective. She recently finished a comparative study of cybercrime with two South Korean scholars which was supported by the Korean Institute of Criminology. 

Her published articles appear in The Encyclopedia of Women and Crime. Her book, Federal and State Court Systems: Analysis of History Making Legal Precedent was released by Cognella Publishing.
