Biography

Glen Brewster is the Chair of the Department of English from 2022-2027, having served previously from 2003-2010. He was the Director of the Westfield State University Honors Program from 2011-2019. His specialties are British Romanticism, literary theory and criticism, and film. He has taught a wide range of courses for the department, including Introduction to Shakespeare, Development of the Novel, and first-year composition. He is an advisor to several student organizations, including the Westfield Voice newspaper, Persona literary journal, and the Film Club. He has been a faculty advisor for the campus chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the international English honor society, since its founding in 1998, and was Vice-President, President, and Immediate Past President and a member of the national Sigma Tau Delta Executive Board from 2010 to 2024.
